← This furniture system, made entirely of Baltic Birch Plywood, was originally designed and manufactured in 1970 by Architect, Michael Thom for his recently purchased, empty hilltop mansion in Kingfield/Sugarloaf/USA.
He was transforming and restoring the complex into the “WINTERS INN.”
“THERE ARE NO FASTENERS……….SO, YOU NEED NO TOOLS.”
The furniture is available in a rich cherry stain and poly coat finish or a number of selected colors. Custom colors and upholstery can also be purchased at additional costs. This Bunk Bed is available in full twin size beds (40”) or 36” wide bunks and can be demounted and reassembled as two side-by-side twin beds.
The Bunk Bed may be ordered with a built in blanket drawer under the lower bunk at an additional cost. Also available is a fitting night table for the upper bunk, the couch and chair. A coffee table is also being developed.
Now 40 some years later, the bunk beds, part of a complete line of furniture is returning. This time with Baltic Birch Plywood and made on a C&C routing machine. The joinery is unique and easy to put together and take apart, reassemble and re arrange. Just slide one piece into the next!
